Alien Registration Information Update Guide

If your passport has been reissued or if there are any changes to your passport number, issue date, or expiration date, you must report the change through an Alien Registration Information Update in accordance with immigration laws.

📌 If your passport information changes but your Alien Registration Card (ARC) still shows old data, discrepancies can occur in immigration records, potentially affecting visa extension, status change, or re-entry permission.

📅 2. Reporting Deadline and Penalty

Must report within 14 days of the change:
- If reissued in Korea: based on date of receipt
- If reissued abroad and re-entered: based on date of entry
Penalty for late report:
- Up to KRW 1,000,000 depending on visa type and delay period

Sign up / log in (skip if you already have an ID)
- Log in using your alien registration number
- No digital certificate needed
Go to “E-Application” → “Change of Registration Details”
Fill in the application
- Enter updated passport information
- Upload scanned passport and ARC
Track status via My Page > Application Status
