These penalty point regulations are intended to maintain order and ensure a safe living environment in the dormitory. Violations may result in eviction or penalty points. Please review the information below carefully.

Eviction

  1. Intentionally damaging or destroying public property (facilities), or committing arson.
  2. Being sentenced to imprisonment or a more severe criminal penalty.
  3. Bringing in or using electrical appliances or gas burners that pose a fire hazard (including all items prohibited under the no-cooking policy).
  4. Committing illegal or disruptive acts against other residents, including sexual violence, theft, gambling, sexual harassment, illegal filming, or forcibly opening entrance doors.
  5. Using or bringing flammable or hazardous materials into the dormitory.
  6. Allowing anyone other than the assigned residents to stay overnight in the room, or staying overnight in another resident’s room.
  7. Allowing a person of the opposite sex to enter the dormitory, or entering a dormitory designated for the opposite sex.
  8. Having a legally designated infectious disease or being a carrier of such a disease.
  9. Failing to submit the required health examination certificate.
  10. Bringing in or charging battery-powered mobility devices inside the dormitory. </aside>

Penalty Points

▪ -10 Points

  1. Bringing in or consuming alcoholic beverages, or smoking inside the dormitory (including e-cigarettes; empty alcohol bottles and cigarette packs included).
  2. Using abusive language toward staff or engaging in similar inappropriate behavior.
  3. Allowing an unauthorized outsider to enter another dormitory, or entering another dormitory without permission.
  4. Allowing anyone other than the assigned residents to enter the room, or entering another resident's room.
  5. Changing the assigned room without permission.

▪ -8 Points

  1. Providing meals to another person.
  2. Allowing or assisting an outsider to enter a resident's room.
  3. Giving or lending an access card to another person.

▪ -6 Points

  1. Failing to follow staff instructions.
  2. Moving or relocating shared facilities or equipment without permission.
  3. Disrupting the study environment or disturbing other residents (e.g., loud noise, group chatting, drinking parties, musical instruments, etc.).

▪ -5 Points

  1. Smoking in a designated non-smoking area.
  2. Failing to properly sort or dispose of recyclables and waste (e.g., improper waste disposal or failure to dispose of food waste properly).

▪ -3 Points

  1. Wearing inappropriate clothing in common areas, such as sleepwear or revealing clothing.
  2. Bringing food into the dormitory after 1:00 a.m.
  3. Failing to keep the room clean and tidy.
  4. Failing to return the access card upon moving out.

▪ -2 Points

  1. Engaging in any other conduct equivalent to the violations listed above. </aside>

Important Notes (Penalty Point Validity Period: 1 Academic Year)

  1. Eviction: Residents who commit an offense subject to eviction or accumulate 15 or more penalty points will be evicted.
  2. Temporary restriction on dormitory admission based on the total penalty points accumulated during each semester:
  3. Residents who have been evicted are not eligible for readmission to the dormitory.
  4. Any appeal regarding penalty or merit points must be submitted within one week of the date the points are assigned. Students are responsible for any disadvantages resulting from appeals submitted after this period.
  5. Up to 10 penalty points may be offset through clean-up activities or merit points. </aside>
